Operating Systems

Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP

Microsoft is gradually phasing out Windows 2000 and no longer supports Windows 98 or ME, therefore Procare assistance with these older operating systems will be limited.

Beta Versions

Procare does not support beta versions of operating systems.

Macintosh / Apple Computers

Procare is designed to run on the Microsoft Windows™ family of operating systems. If your Macintosh computer can run Windows programs then Procare should also run, however, our support will be limited to Procare itself. Questions or issues arising from the use of Procare in a Macintosh environment are beyond the scope of our support.

Network Requirements

Procare can be run independently on a single computer, but comes network ready as a Standard Feature. Procare will run on all common Network Operating Systems in either peer to peer or dedicated server configurations. Get detailed instructions on Network Installation of Procare.

Important - Wireless Networks! Procare is designed to run on a local area network using standard network cabling. Wireless networks are not appropriate for use with this product due to connectivity issues and high risk of data corruption.

Minimum Computer

Procare runs well on any computer less than 4 years old that runs Windows XP or Vista. We highly recommend an internet connection and email to take advantage of online services like Tuition Express, Free Tutorials and Online Updates. Also, the Keyless Entry System and Door Controller are serial devices which require a USB Serial Adapter.
